our Mission:

Since its incorporation, SystemObjects has been entirely focused on one goal: provide the IBM i (AS/400) with a graphical interface worthy of its other qualities.

We began by developing ClientObjects/400, our first tool to modernize the AS/400, and thereafter integrated this technology in our main Windows solutions.

In 1997, we signed an agreement with Borland to license ClientObjects/400, our AS/400 middleware technology, which created a world-class suite of Object-Oriented Development tools: Delphi/400, JBuilder for iSeries and C++Builder/400. These innovative development applications, were designed specifically for the AS/400 developer community

Since the introduction of Delphi/400, development shops and corporations worldwide have been using SystemObjects solutions to meet their application development and deployment requirements.

Our Partner Network provides education, consulting, training and support to thousands of developers and users in all countries.

In February 2000, SystemObjects and Borland entered into a global agreement, which accomplished the following:

  • Consolidated the commitment of both Borland and SystemObjects to provide the highest quality development products for the IBM AS/400 community,
  • Recognized the importance of the IBM AS/400 market by focusing future development, distribution and support of its products dedicated to the IBM AS/400,
  • Entrusted AS/400 experts, such as SystemObjects, with maintaining Borland's high quality standards,
  • Increased Borland's investment in the AS/400 market.

Beginning in 2010, we concentrated all of our research and development efforts to integrate mobile devices with our IBM i development products.

We started with Business4Mobile, a solution to query and update any database from anywhere, including mobile devices.

In 2013 we announced SmartPad4i, a development solution to create hybrid applications for the IBM i (AS/400).

SmartPad4i allows RPG and COBOL programmers to, in a single development effort, create both web and mobile applications without Java or HTML skills.

In 2015 we launched Push4Servers, which ensures the right message is sent from the IBM i to the right person, instantly via email, Push notifications or SMS.

Early in 2017 we launched SmartPad4i for RDi, to use RPG or COBOL to Develop Web & Mobile Applications Directly Within the Rational Developer for i (RDi) Environment
